wow man what happened to our defense from last year! Teams last year quit scoring on us due to our inability to score and huge leads. Whenever a team needed a score in the 4th they got it. Teams could turn their offense on at will against this D last year. The rankings were an illusion. Remember how whenever we needed to stop the offense or had to prevent a team from scoring we rarely did?

Giving up 3 long TD passes by the secondary and having a porous O-line, it's actually incredible how close the game was.

Well it sure wasn't a dull game, the skins came back into it but are so many injuries and mistakes away from being a solid team. The problems are the ones mentioned in the off-season and we have little in the way of cap space or high draft picks to fix them. BUT it is going to be entertaining!

I dont care what the nay sayers say, this team can compete with anybody. We were down for the count in the first half and came back to make it a game.
There are some obvious holes, the same holes that I have been defending against you vultures that constantly rag on the team. We've got to find a way to stop letting the opposing QB have a career day and letting opposing WR's have Offensive Player of Week type games. On the flip side, we have got to protect our investment. Losing Trent was huge.
I love how Griffin keeps his eyes down the field, and he took too many sacks today, but had no choice in a bunch of situations. He also made plays that only he could make and almost drove the ball all the way 98 yards for a game tying score. He showed moxy making plays in the run game and pass game.
Injuries are piling up, time to test that depth. One thing is certain, we have a special QB and RB combo that will put up great numbers this year, if we can keep them up right. I hope Trent is okay.
Here's to another week of excuses. Hail to em.

We are going to average 30+ points per game this year, and still only win 5 games. That's with the major assumption that Griffin stays healthy. He's going to get hurt. Heck he's been dinged a few times already; you could see it when he lay on the ground or got up slow.

wow man what happened to our defense from last year! I've been trying to tell fans here that our defense won't be that good because our secondary sucks. We could've REALLY used Laron Landry this game and Gaffney in the Rams game (instead of Morgan). But oh no. The rest of the board was all giving kudos to the front office for competency.

We gotta open up the gameplan more. Let RG3 be an NFL QB. Enough with the dinky screens and options. That garbage won't work anymore.

Offensive Line is a joke but the secondary is possibly thw worst I have ever seen in 33 years of watching football. My God they suck and suck HARD!!!! Griffin will not last the entire year as this patch work PO-Line is going to get him hurt. Valiant effort from Griffin and he showed today he is special. Too bad he is going to be on a horrible team from the wussy easily injured Garcon to the unfortunate injuries to Rak and Carriker to the egg sucking dog secondary...we are the butt end of jokes again in the NFL. Dude, just stfu. LaRon was TERRIBLE in pass coverage. Do you not remember DeSean Jackson running by him on multiple occasions during that 56-whatever MNF debacle? Do you not remember him trying to make the highlight reel hit and whiffing over and over and over again on pass plays? He is a complete liability if he's not on the LOS running around, and he did that effectively for about 8 games in his 5 years with us. Funny, I think the reason we're losing is our defense. Maybe the fact that both of us starting safeties are not playing? Maybe the fact that we lost 18mil in cap space so we couldn't sign any CB/DB help in the offseason? Gaffney makes no difference in the outcome in any of these games. Your posts are constantly garbage, just like our secondary.

You just trumped it with your own. Oh yeah? Mike decided to have both of his starting safeties miss the season? Mike lost 18 mil in cap space so he couldn't sign CB/DB help? Funny, I think Mike's offense looks outstanding, especially considering JORDAN BLACK AND TYLER POLUMBUS played tackle for us today. A rookie QB and rookie RB are averaging over 30 points a game. His fault is that Haslett has a job. The offense, HIS OFFENSE, is doing their job.

101 yards given up by the D and we don't go for it on 4-1?

He is also responsible as Team Pres, of personel. So it is his fault after 3 years we have no depth, or talent in our secondary. And finally, it is also his responsibility to call the game. And he's been aweful. last week trying a 63 yarder, this week with a terrible game plan.

You're reaching by mentioning Landry. All he would've done was picked up a personal foul call and bit on double moves.

And I agree the coaches are as responsible for this loss as anyone. I think Spurrier could have done better. Isn't Spurrier's record better than Shanahan's (as Skins coaches)?

AJ Green and Andrew Hawkins are good WRs who will do that to any secondary. Now if the Tampa Bay WRs are able to do that next week then i might chance my mind.

How does Haslett keep his job? I was asking the same thing this offseason. How come no one else was? How come I got insulted, name-called, and berated by the board for expressing that opinion? I've been calling for his head since the Rams game..he needs to go..

This loss, like last week's loss, is entirely on the defensive side of the ball. If Haslett isn't fire tomorrow, then there's something wrong there at Redskins park. There's no way around it, it's all on the defense and especially the secondary. It's pathetic.

Since we are talking about coaching, I am watching Denver vs Houston. The Broncos just went for it on 4th and a mile and got the first down.... because of an illegal hands penalty.
I still haven't forgiven Shanny for that FG attempt last week. The mistakes today just add to the pile, as far as I'm concerned.
