IO know when you line a RB out as a WR they generally never get given a look, but when Griffen stepped up in the pocket on that second down play, Helu was wide open down the sideline. if he threw it and led him, Helu may have had a TD there. Another example of Griff just not seeing the field or not trusting what he is seeing.
RGIII is playing well, for the most part, but Chris Collinsworth is right, he's had plays down the field that he's just not seeing. He's taking off and running way to early on some of these plays. That's the difference in NFL maturity between him and Russell Wilson. And why not roll out and just chuck the damn thing towards the end zone on that last play. He had time to set up to throw it. All he did was pad his stats for the night instead of giving us a chance to score some more points.
Now, which team will show up in the second half? The team that scored and played well early or the team that did nothing afterwards?

I think RGIII didn't throw to Helu on that play b/c he was past the LOS- or his running the ball caused the defvender to come up making Helu look wide open b/c RGIII had already committed to the run. Watch the game and put a little less of your own thoughts in the hands of Collinsworth. RGIII is playing well.
Considering how much better RG3 is looking throwing the ball this game I'm not going to harp too much on the couple of times he should've thrown it down field on the scramble instead of running.
Why not? That's the difference between moving the ball quickly down the field and running out of bounds short of a 1st down.
Because so far he's been accurate, looking off defenders and throwing with anticipation which are three things he hasn't been doing very well at all this season. Does he get a free pass for the two scrambles where he should've pulled up and thrown the ball? No, but I think it's unfair to call him a "bum" for his first half performance. Unless you just want to be a grumpy fan I don't see the point in ignoring how we'll RG3 has been playing just to focus on a couple of bad plays.
cooley47: Goff continues to stink. The D has done their job.

rskin72: The Lambs O just cannot get into sync. Limited rush attack, and Goff is not in any rhythm at all

rskin72: sooner or later the Lambs D will give...or they will make a big play. Either way the Lambs D right now has to win the game for the team

cooley47: No guarantee you ever get back to this game. Sorry but Goff can’t get it done. McVay should consider getting a veteran QB in offseason.

SkinsTim: A first round pick for a guy that was terrible last year and his team is ready to move on from? No chance. They'll be luck to get a 2nd or a 3rd. I'd give up a 2nd for him and call it a day.
