Game one to the Wizards! Gortat was better than Noah tonight and Nene was just a beast. Wall missed a lot of shots but made his free throws like star players should. Beal also had a nice game. The Bulls got a wake-up call tonight.
The Wizards are a better team than the Bulls and should win the series. They were basically carried by two guys tonight and still won by double digits. If Nene and Gortat keep playing at a high level, and Wall and Beal(even just one of them)turn things around, this could be a decisive series.

The thing that makes the Wiz so much better is that every starter they have actually is supposed to play the position that he is playing. We don't have any "tweeners".
J. Wall is a true PG. The strongest aspect of his game is getting other players involved. B. Beal is a true SG. He is lethal from the perimeter, can create his own shot by running off screens or by penetrating with the ball. T. Ariza is a true SF. He has an above average inside/outside game and has turned into one of the best 3pt shooters in the game. Nene is a true PF. He can post up effectively and can face up out to about 18ft with a very consistent jumper from there. M. Gortat is a true C. A banger, and hustle guy who can also effectively pass from the post.
Plus, we have no defensive liability. Wall, Ariza, and Gortat are very strong on defense. Beal and Nene are solid to above average.
This is a good team folks. The bench is also strong and deep in the front court. While there is no team playoff experience the structure of this team is ideal for the playoffs. The Eastern conference finals would not surprise me. However, a tough loss to Indiana in the second round would not surprise me either.
In civilian confrontations with cops, only one person has been professionally trained. Whether dealing with criminals, folks with tempers, or the mentally ill, shouldn't the trained officer be held to a higher standard of "I feared for my life?" If not, what's the point of them having to complete a training to walk around with a firearm?

Of course Beal and Wall are an awesome backcourt, and I got to admit, I thought Ernie was a little weird when he made this Ariza move, I thought it was another "Ernie move", but Ariza has turned out to be incredible on offense and defense. One thing I like about this team is we have a lot of bigs starting and on bench to bang around with, this could take us far.
