Nope. We sucked for two decades now. We can't figure out how to maximize his talent. I don't expect some fans to grasp that though The guy you hated figured out how to maximize his talent. Yes he did. And then ****ed it up by bringing him back injured

The guy you hated figured out how to maximize his talent. Exactly. Read option QB who wants to be a pocket QB. Right. So the responsibility to game plan his strengths is with the team. Not him

You are what your record says you are...3 wins in the last 18 games says that we are no good.

I'd like to know how RGIII is supposed to block Watt, block on ST's and teach our RB's and WR's not to fumble the football. I must have missed that part. No blame for Chester and Polumbus being pure ass today either.

Right. So the responsibility to game plan his strengths is with the team. Not him Right because Jay Gruden will get fired if he makes him run the read option. RG3 has stated clearly many times that he does not want to run the read option--ever. Again that's the organizations fault

What I want to see is this staff to say just f#@k all and unleash RG3 the playmaker that just so happens to play QB. I'd much rather have him burn in a blaze of glory rather than continue as a dying star. It's really easy, just unleash the beast Jay. For you and Roberts sake. Even if RG3 gets hurt we still have an All Pro backing him up so just get it done since there is no risk

It's not like he's begging to run but the coaches keep him in the pocket. I agree that RG3 is much less of a weapon if you take away the run threat but RG3 himself wants to take away the run threat.

I want to win. And rg3 running gives us a chance to win. If rather risk his career and win then continue to make him into something he's not
Were the only franchise stupid enough to think that's a smart idea. It's similar to the way we draft guys and thence them play a different position than they are used to playing and scratching our heads why it doesn't work.

It's not so black and white re rg3.
He can still be versatile without getting whacked on every play...or trying to make him something he isn't (pocket passer). I do agree that you don't buy a Bugatti and tow trailers with it.
Griffin should be able to play like Kapaernick/Wilson. He looks about 2/5ths of the speed of those two...still.
I wouldn't be so concerned if those dudes were rd 1 picks and Griffin was a mid rounder but we all know the score there.

The loss today is not on Griffin. Could he have done more and won us the game? Sure. Houston aren't that good and were there for the taking. A great could probably have put the team on his back and carried them to victory. He's not there and may never be.
As it stands we made too many mistakes to win. One step forward and two back.
The only redemption is that it was a road game to an AFC opponent. Our season will still be defined by what we do in the division. Does today fill me with confidence that that's going to go well? Of course not.

The problem is that RG3 does not have the frame of Kaepernick and the smarts to avoid pressure/vicious hits like Wilson. Yup. That makes you wonder then what they were thinking giving up such a bounty.

Because this franchise is stupid enough to spend 3 1st's and a second on RG3 in the first place. The guy does not want to run the read option. He will become malcontent if they force him to. Trade him to a team where they will. So you don't think RG3 is good enough? You need to make that clear

He doesn't want to be the QB he was 2 years ago and he has Snyder's backing there.

The defense is basically out of gas, while the offense crapped the bed. The offense won the time of possession battle. So the D being out of gas shouldn't excuse their play down the stretch. That being said, they were the bright spot.

RG3 can't get Kap's frame, but I think he can be taught the self-preservation techniques Wilson innately demonstrates. As has been brought up many times before, RG3's 1st year injuries all came from broken plays. He took very little punishment when he ran the ball on read-option plays. He doesn't even have to run that often or even get that many yards, he just needs to be enough of a threat that the defense hesitates for a split second. If it's 3rd and 4 and the D has to worry about AlMo running it, RG3 running it or RG3 passing it then our chances of picking up a first down should greatly increase.
