Cant even enjoy wins. There is an attitude, a desire to win, a killer instinct absent. Poor discipline. Silly errors like Jones putting the ball on the ground when he wasnt down. The TO followed by delay of game penalty when we were on goal line. Punting into end zone at the end. Not trying to ice Dallas' kicker. To me thats a gap in coaching. I hope our next coach is a bulldog.
He should be cut for dropping the ball when he wasnt down. Bonehead play.
Rookie mistake. In college that play was dead. He won't make that mistake again, and fortunately it didn't hurt us.
I think I'm coming down with Burgundy and Gold fever [Ker]again. I hope it's not an SDH. I'm Sweating All(en) over. I have Ioannitis in my joints, and the Payne is unbearably .... FANTASTIC!! OK. I need to Settle down. It's not even Training Camp yet.
1. The brutal delay of game at the 1, AFTER we had a timeout to think about it.
2. The brutal late pick by Cousins that allowed the Bears to mount the drive to die from close in.
3. The should have been second pick by Cousins that Reed tipped to Jones - who just as brutally as Cousins almost handed it right back to the Bears with a play every bit as dumb as Jackson's punt return on Monday night.
These moments reflect a clear lack of grace under pressure at times.
That said, the grace Cousins and the O showed in the win versus the Eagles, the win versus the Bucs, and the win versus the Giants were instances where we had grace under pressure.
So we're a middling, up and down team with some talent but lots of room for improvement.
Really hard to understand how Cousins was so bad late. He's not been much of a bad weather QB - I think that much is fairly clear, and that's disappointing as he knows bad weather from his midwestern H.S. and College football past where that is the norm after October.
