On Offense ... stay calm, stay focused ... and score touchdowns ... Kirk, you've seen this defense before ... you know how they're going to try and come after you ... there will be opportunities ... don't "over-cook" what you see ... just make your reads and hit your throws ... Matt Jones, protect the ball and run with authority ... you can steam roll guys ... I've seen you do it ... do it today ...
On Defense ... Know and execute your assignments ... there are (at least) two players who should be made to understand ... "today, I'm playing for my job" ... either they raise their level of play to where it needs to be ... or they're on the bench ... every man out there, do your $#@% job !!
I think Week 1 surprised 'em ... and I think last week pissed 'em off ... how will they respond today ... if they're as good as they think they are, they'll find a way ... if not ... well, we'll know soon enough ...

Win and you can take a breath. Right the ship against the Browns.
Lose...and no matter the coach speak or player speak, the season is truly over, and we're more than likely looking at a top 10 pick. (Which may not be so bad. A very good argument can be made for us having won the division last year doing more damage to this budding rebuild than if we had just finished 3rd of 4th place. We need a TON of talent across the board and on both lines. We need high picks to get good prospects or to accumulate more picks.)
I have every expectation that we are going to lose today. I believe it as much as I believed we had no shot against Pittsburgh. However, if we can play a tight, on-assignment, tough-nosed football game where we just end up on the short end of the stick, I can take that. That's acceptable. However, if we go out and in typical fashion, lay an egg and just look like the Keystone Cops and beat ourselves with stupid penalties and blown assignments, that's an absolute condemnation of the coaching staff. Let's just hope for the best and a team that is distancing itself from the embarrassments of the past. That alone is progress.
Kirk- Just relax. See the field, be the field. See the receiver, be the receiver.
That is appropriate, bugel!
Kirk always seemed to me to be that Chevy Chase kinda guy. Goofy, floppy, frumpy, and often on mark.
"Be the ball!"....de-del de-del de-del....!

Yeah. IMHO, it is really time to start worrying about Doctson going the Malcom Kelly route. This has been a major issue, and now, after they said he's good to go, he's got a setback.
We've got one of the worst track records in the league for drafting WRs, whether because they can't stay healthy or are just out and out busts. We simply cannot afford for this thing with Doctson to go down the "bust because of injury" route. We HAVE to have that first round pick pan out.
Here comes a thumpin'. Everyone take ya meds or get really drunk. 😞
I hope not and we need to stop the "negative waves" Skin1975
Ive tried positive. Tried negative. Tried not watching. Tried posting on here. Tried hanging up memorabilia, taking it down. Nothing fixes the stupidity and ineptitude that is the Redskins. Bet they dont change sh*t today. Throw 60 times. Due to give up special teams TD too.

Well I would say the fact that we aren't going to face Rashad Jennings is a plus.... But we couldn't beat the Steelers without 3 or 4 of their starters and we couldn't beat the Cowboys with a rookie QB, missing over half of their defensive starters.
Im trying to find a bright spot here.... Hopefully the Giants play down to us and we can sneak in and steal a W today.
Take off the rose colored glasses sometimes... its ok to be objective.

Even if the offense is on-point today, if we can't somehow summon an effective pass rush, we're dead. The Giants are NOT that good so far this year. They have zero offense to speak of. Looked pretty poor last week against a weak NO defense. And THAT is what scares me. We are always everyone's medicine to get their program going strong. That's gotta change today. If it comes to a shootout, I like the Giants at home.
Gotta get pressure consistently in order to have a chance today. That does not make me very optimistic.
Hopefully today is when KC finds his MOJO for this season.
I don’t believe in team motivation. I believe in getting a team prepared so it knows it will have the necessary confidence when it steps on a field and be prepared to play a good game. Tom Landry I make my practices real hard because if a player is a quitter, I want him to quit in practice, not in a game. Bear Bryant
