Lets complete the sweep of the Gits....and help ourselves to a .500 season ending record. Not great, but all things considered, not as bad as it certainly could have been. Finish on a 3 game winning streak....something I wish we could have done last season.
I will be at a NYE dinner with my wife and some of her family....and 10-15 co-workers. I will be checking into the chat periodically as I can.
If anyone is at the game, stay warm. Am listening to the pre-game show, and it certainly sounds cold, and windy, up there.
I don’t believe in team motivation. I believe in getting a team prepared so it knows it will have the necessary confidence when it steps on a field and be prepared to play a good game. Tom Landry I make my practices real hard because if a player is a quitter, I want him to quit in practice, not in a game. Bear Bryant
What makes this even worse for me is my girlfriend is a bandwagon giants fan. After they lost their 4th game, she hasn’t watched a single game. She’s watching the game today and will spend the entire offseason running this in my face. 7-9 with 1 division win. That’s progress? I don’t think so.

Got the Skins today in my suicide pool....the first few minutes had me cursing my decision. Was hoping they would come up fired up and show support for Gruden coming back but was ugly. That int and the resulting TD hopefully will change the game. Go Skins!!

Part of me just hopes Kirk goes to my second favorite team in Denver and wins a SB there. Or at least competes for one year after year. He deserves better.
I don't believe a Redskins brain trust under Snyder has the capability of building around a franchise QB like Kirk anyway. He'd be like several really, really good Skins players that have wasted their careers here under Snyder. Currently that would be Ryan Kerrigan and Trent Williams. And now Josh Norman seems to be falling into that category, though his recent statements would indicate he's cognizant of the issues a Snyder-owned team has in actually building a winner.
... encouraging to show support for a guy for the primary reasoning of showing continuity to a guy you have near zero chance of retaining long term... cut this guy loose and be done with it...oh yeah I forgot be vewy, vewy quiet Jon Gruden might disparage our organization more than it already has been so we'll never find another coach.. I forgot...

You'd think an offensive "genius" like Gruden would actually try to move the pocket now and again, seeing as how his QB is under duress nearly every snap. But I guess that's just too simple a solution to even try out...

If this FO actually believes we're set along the D line they are delusional. Allen goes out an the whole damn thing goes with it. We definitely need a stud DL to pair with Allen (I do not count Matt I. as a stud DL. He's good, but that's about all), and I wouldn't stop at just one.
If our brain trust drafted DL as often and as high as they love to draft CBs and OLBs, we wouldn't be sitting here with no run defense.

So, I guess this is it for us game plan-wise on offense today?
Five yard out, five yard in, seven yard waggle route and then punt?
I swear, Gruden in games like this just keeps trying the same damn thing over and over again and expects a new result. He is as creatively inept as they come once games get into chess-match country. He's a primarily play-from-ahead OC and coach. Can't win with guys like that. It's why I always laugh when I hear anyone refer to this guy as an offensive "genius". He's not even close.
