Ive never hated a Redskin QB more than Alex Smith I can name about 4 off the top of my head. I can name 5: 1. John Beck 2. Jeff George 3. Jason Campbell 4. RG-0 5. (I know I'm going to take flack for this) Kurt 'Goober' Cousins.

Because I don't want to start a new thread and I can't find the game thread from last year. Looks like the Falcons were who we thought they were. All the talk in the game thread last week about them turning the corner...looks like they did a 360 and they really are not a good team. I want this team to fight and claw and scrap ugly to a conference championship. Whatever it takes and however they get there. For the players sure but even more so for Jan and for every other faithful season ticket holder out there. Conference Champion means a home playoff game; it is past due. We hosted in 2016 and lost to the Green Bay Packers but other than that home game has there been another since 1999 when we beat Detroit? 20 years is a long damn time to wait! So Skins.

I don't count Beck because he should have never started. Yeah, I'd put 2013-2014 RG3 above Smith but that might be it. Maybe Brunell, but he just physically fell off a cliff. And he was pretty hot for the first half of the 05 season. Smith is basically McNabb 2.0 with a better attitude.

I don't see how people can actually hate Smith. It's like people care how you look and not if you get the job done or not.

What has he done to cause hate among Skin fans? I can agree that I would like to see more from him, and think he is among the causes of our lackluster offensive outputs this season...but God only knows I don't hate him....nor really anyone else on the team....even if I think some need to be replaced. Oh....forgot to mention....we are 6-3 at the current time. So no....don't get hate at all.

John Keim summed the game up and why we should have won so aptly and correctly... "But i picked them (Skins) to win for these reasons: 1) Tampa isn't good; 2) Fitzpatrick can be either ugly or magical;" ...and we got ugly today thank goodness. He was Magic until they got in the red zone, then he was Tragic. But our defense played a big part of that.

He couldn't complete a screen pass here. Those worm burners he would throw were maddening. I don't get "hate" for any player that is trying to play well (stuff they do off the field is a different matter), but failing. Haynseworth is the only player that comes to mind that seemed to just take the money and not put in the effort earn that paycheck. Others have dissapointed for one reason or another, but I don't think they intentionally flopped like AH did.

Squid - not Goober. Gaggin Gilligan, Bruh. While he was here. Seems to be ascending with the Vikes but we will know for sure in the coming race for the postseason. Alex Smith- 64% completions, 6.8 yards per attempt, 10 TD/3 INT, 57 QBR 6-3 record McNabb- 58% completions, 7.2 ypa, 14 TD/15 INT, 48 QBR 5-8 record Beck- 61% completions, 6.5 ypa, 2 TD/4 INT, 39 QBR 0-3 record
People really need to stop putting Smith anywhere near those clowns.

Well McNugget probably had a better career than AS, thanks to Reid and filthy. But come on....Beck....Grossman....Shuler....Ferrote...Werffuel...Collins....we have had a laundry list of bad QB's since Ryp.
And I do not put Robert on that list either.

Yeah I think thats going to extremes there. Beck was never starter material and McNabb was washed up when he came here. Smith at least is a competent game manager who doesn't make mistakes. He's on track for a typical Smith year 3,500 yards, 18 TD's/5-6 ints and a 64% comp rate.

Geron Christian was the victim of the F.O. curse drafting OL guys in the 3rd / 4th Rounds. He never had a snowballs chance in H*ll to make it here. He was out of shape; out of time to get it together; and now, out of luck.
Apke is the only Player I thought less of in this last Draft than Geron. I never wish injury on anyone, but his injury put everybody out of misery this season. Now we can do what we do best - dumpster dive for OL guys yet again.

He's such a fluid mover - in 2-3 years he's likely a starter.
