I do and I want Bruce to jump into the limelight telling everybody he is his choice.

Of course you're right, PC. Its how the KMS always operates after all. I want to see Bruce slip up and say how he endorses his next QB and have it hang him. I'm not sure he can avoid it after going 0-2 with the media hot on his trail. I'm just wishing and wanting...

Hmmmm ... After Osweiller and then Lynch, could the 3rd time be a charm for Elway?

Is this like the new kiss of death!?! I think so mate. It's funny, Shanny never won anything after Elway left - he spent year after year trying to find another QB. And now it's looking more and more like Elway ain't gonna win anything now that Peyton's left. Go figure!

Drafting a QB at 15 would be a terrible idea. Trading up to draft a QB in this draft an even bigger mistake.

then go for a quarterback next year. Unless of course Smith is back by later part of 2019/start of 2020 and we actually do nothing about drafting a decent QB next year. Why would Bruce want to start another QB controversy when he expects to eventually get his main man back. Remember: he's thinking long term.... Why? Because starting controversies and making bad personnel decisions is what Brucifer does ... and I gather just about everyone in Ashburn thinks Smith is done for good.

I think they believe Smith will play in 2020....they are paying him either way so why not have him in the QB room.
That has nothing to do with us still drafting a top QB in 2020.
Smith can compete next with the new developmental QB we draft this year and Colt McCoy, assuming we extend McCoys contract in the first place.
There is going to be a QB Mosh Pit in Ashburn the next two years and everybody is going to be in the pool..

Even if he doesn't play again (probably 50/50 at this point), that mindset towards 2020 will hopefully stop them from pulling the trigger on a signal caller early in this draft.

I hope so, PC. I think they will hope and pray the $36M they pooched will be salvageable at some point so I think they will not go all in in 2019 and move up to take a QB in this Draft. If they can hold off that much then I think we will be okay as there is a lot of pretty solid developmental QB prospects in this Draft. Bruce hates admitting he screwed the pooch so I think he won't be too overt this year. Next year is another story....
