I like what I'm reading about Steve Sims...i think we have real potential with some of our your WRs: Quinn, S Sims, C Sims, R Davis, Harmon, McLaurin in no particular order. Can we just get Doctson out of they way please ? Here's hoping to a couple of these young bucks knocking underperforming #18 out of the starting lineup.
Here's hoping we find a safety or TE out of this group.
this makes sense because 1st & 2nd rd picks are genetically gifted and don't necessarily know how to work on their technique or the mental side of the game because they never had to in order to succeed (e.g. Lavar Arrington, Laron Landry, Taylor Jacobs, Devin Thomas ) whereas most of the UDFAs had to do this just to survive the competition in college. (e.g. London Fletcher, Joe Jacoby, Niel Olkewicz)
I just saw a stat on Colin Cowherd that half the NFL is made up of UDFAs. That sounds crazy and a little high, but it means some of these guys should end up on the PS
I suspect that figure includes all the 10 players on the practice squads. If one assumes every player on a PS is an UDFA and get rid of those it still leaves an impressive 40% of UDFAs on the active 53 man rosters. That's still an incredibly and surprisingly high number.
Ben Standig Verified account @benstandig 37m37 minutes ago Deep sleeper to track: CB Deion Harris. Redskins signing former North Dakota standout following rookie minicamp tryout, per source. Mel Kiper ranked him one of the top senior corners entering 2017, but then Harris tore his Achilles. CB depth chart hardly set here.
