PFF WAS Redskins @pff_Redskins The highest graded player from the #Redskins win (minimum 25 snaps) was QB Dwayne Haskins!
Haskins finished with an 85.4 overall grade which was the highest grade of his career. #HTTR

That's surprising because in their review of the game itself they highlight our RBs and OL run blocking.

While it was Dwayne's best game to date, he still has miles and miles to go. Hard for me to say anyone outperformed Guice on O or Orchard on D. Man - could Orchard be getting back to the terror he was coming out of Utah? I mean, how flippin great would that be?! Crazy...I guess this just solidifies what most people think and that is simply that PFF grades are vulnerable to criticism.

Very good game from Haskins against a good pass defense that also pretty much shut down our best WR (even though Terry dropped the long pass).

I thought Dwayne played much better than many have suggested, but he wasn't the best Redskin on the field yesterday. Not even close. Not even top 5.

Guice graded 90.9
As regards Haskyns remember they grade QBs very differently from most people as they don't mark them down for things they blame on the blocking or receiving. They also score strongly for mistakes / not making mistakes, "big time throws", etc. which are designed to separate the individual from the team.
The point about the PFF grades is not that they are definitive, but that they are comprehensive and based on a defined system that allows them to be calibrated and reviewed for consistency and largely free from the cognitive biases that beset Wot I Reckon-ary.

Haskins was not the best offensive player vs the Panthers IMHO...but we did win with him and he helped that cause. We did not win in spite of him. He did make some plays when he needed to...and a couple of clutch throws as well.
But both Guice and AP deserve to be in the spotlight as key offensive players yesterday.

You also have to factor in a 'degree of difficulty'. We know that a QB having to master his position has it much harder than players at other positions. If that's factored into their grading then I can see how they could appear to be over-grading him compared to other players.

Heck even F1 missed a pass he should have caught downfield...and Sprinkle missed more than 1. Regarding Guice I see where he is getting a lot of love...and deservedly so. While I am on his bandwagon...I am a little more tentative and want to see him vs a few more defenses before I am completely sold/comfortable with him. The Lions and Panthers were not sporting strong run defenses.

But I am, admittedly, a huge guice supporter and was huge on him coming out of college

Really what the score indicates is that he made some big throws (including three that were dropped) and avoided mistakes and this combination will always get a QB a good score from PFF. They would also stress that this is evidence of progress and only becomes predictive and meaningful if it happens repeatedly over a period of time. Which is what, I think, most fans would say about his performance.

C CHASE ROULLIER, WASHINGTON REDSKINS
Roullier did allow a single quarterback hurry across 32 pass-blocking snaps, so he wasn't quite perfect, but he was a key cog in the ground-and-pound machine that was the Redskins' Week 13 rushing attack. Paving the way for Derrius Guice and Adrian Peterson, Roullier earned a stellar 84.6 run-blocking grade for his effort.
When he's fit, Chase is a plus at Centre, looking forward to some run break downs as he paired well with Flowers on Kyle Love to establish dominance.

You are correct about both run defenses being bad. What Guice has shown is the ability to make tacklers miss....that stiff arm!

Guice and AD made one heck of a one-two punch Sunday. Looking forward to seeing how they do (and the accompanying OL as well) against the Packers.
It will be a crowded RB room next season if we keep AD (which I advocate for) and Love comes back healthy and looking anything like he did in '18 for Stanford.
Crowded, but it should help keep all three fresh for 60 minutes for all 16+ games. One thing AD has shown, he's not done by a long shot. Dude is a freak of nature. And Guice is looking every bit as good as advertised.
If Dwayne takes the step to being at least a league average QB next season (and I think that is his floor), this offense could be fun to watch. Just find a good TE and add a little more beef to the OL. I really like the 6 OL look Callahan used against the Kittens.

Guice still needs to prove his durability. Talent has never been an issue.
Always been the biggest question mark and nothings changed there much, but getting through three games is encouraging.
He's performed well on limited touches (no more than 12 in any of the 3 weeks), question is how much of a workload can he manage while staying healthy.
Having such a talented RB room spreading around the carries/touches will certainly help that going forward.

Having such a talented RB room spreading around the carries/touches will certainly help that going forward. If Love comes back and is ready for TC, that could give us 3 viable RBs to use next year. Love will have to show he is healthy and resembles the RB from Stanford in '18. If both of these guys are healthy and producing, AD might be a luxury. And if a team is looking for a RB, we might be able to trade AD for more than just a bag of chips. I'm not sure there are enough touches for 3 feature caliber RBs to keep them happy and productive. But dang...we could call them Cerberus. With that potent running attack we might not need Dwayne to throw the ball more the 10-12 times per game.
