Seahawks.
That's the only game I can see us MAYBE winning. I think Minnesota will beat us, but we could win that.
AT BEST, I legitimately see 2 more wins on the season, putting us a full game behind last year's record.
Sometimes things really do have to get worse before they get better. Shanny should be humbled by this season and see he must do whatever it takes to get the best QB in the draft (barring Luck).

No need to apologize. I've come to expect a certain degree of hypocrisy around here.

I'm unsure of what people think losing out would do to better this team. I agree, jester.

It would put us in position to grab a prospective stud at QB WITHOUT having to trade up.
NO QB = Shanny era FAILED.
Pretty simple stuff.

Ah, Hurt was lighting it up for the dolphins.... he was giving free passes to the DL all day.
Think Riley just earned his starting spot.

If Shanny sticks with these two losers next year or trades for a middle of the road/washed up loser as opposed to drafting a blue chip QB prospect, then I will no longer defend him and I will join the chorus of fans who think he needs to go, along with our GM and our a-hole owner. +1 I don't see him bringing neither of these QBs back. He'd be lynched for doing such a thing.

4744 (Cooley-Diesel), The last 'franchise QB' wasn't Jurgy, it was Joey T. He won an NFL MVP, and took his team to consecutive Super Bowls (winning one of them). He also took us to 3 consecutive NFC East titles before having his leg snapped in half in a Monday nighter versus the GMen. But yeah, it's been more than a quarter century. I was a young man when we last had a QB worth his salt for a half decade or so. But rooting for losses is a losing mentality. Not when this team's roster has been mismanaged for a decade and it's last franchise QB hung his cleats up in 1974. There is such a thing as the long view and taking a step or two back to make a leap forward. The idea that you aren't a fan because you take the long view and realize that losing now is better for next season is beyond stupid. But you go ahead and jump up and down and throw a fit....

Call me what you want, I hate to admit it, but I am to the point of rooting for them to lose out. I'm just so tired of this cycle of terrible season - not great draft pick we're in. I either want a top QB or a pick we can trade down. BTW the Eagles are about to get beat

Take a chill pill, double strength!
At least we weren't shut out. Hank had over 100 yards receiving and the front 7 is okay when the LBs don't have to cover.
Whatever it takes for this team to be in a position to pick the next best QB prospect after Luck that doesn't require trading picks, I'm all in.

This Shanny press conference is really moronic. Who are these reporters? I mean, no they don't have a QB and it's been pretty well documented. what else is he supposed to say? Its back and forth because theres really no choice to begin with. The O-line isn't good enough. And on and on. If you have a press conference, at least ask questions that help the Public get a better understanding of things. Just trying to trip up Shanny, that doesn't shed any light on anything.

What question would you like to have asked?

For example, Something about how you get an undermanned outfit to play to their potential and where he thinks he's at on that scale. How does a coach do that?
Do you see what I'm driving at? Then if Shanny is unresponsive, that's on him. But dumb questions, it's pointless.

You don't have to root for it. Just look at the schedule.
Unless one of the teams has a total brain fart and plays down to the skins level, there will be no more wins.
Between the QB situation, and the stupid errors that other players make, there will be enough mistakes to keep the skins from winning again this year.
The Qb situation is the HUGE issue. But there are many other issues. landry crashing the line of scrimmage against the run looking for a big hit and vacating his spot on a passing play, stupid penalties, dropped balls, pitiful OL blocking (Hurt still has a lot to learn), etc. There is too much for them to overcome given the QB play. No matter the QB.

Or, where are you at with halftime adjustments versus the scripted plays? What is that process with an outmaned group?

Whose fault is it that he doesn't have a quarterback? Shanahan has stunk up the NFL since 2005. Why do you think Pat Bolin fired him?

No matter the QB. The QB situation is very bad! I'm sure all of us know that by now, but it is really holding us back more than one can imagine. Look at how many points we've been scoring (or, not scoring) over the past month. There is no doubt that we have other issues, but we can't score points. The defense actually did enough to win games over the past month versus the Eagles, Bills, 'Niners and Dolphins. But, the offense is so bad that it maximizes even the most minute mistakes the defense makes. Laron Landry.... The guy is a mental midget. 'Nuff said.

Or, how is the Redskins situation different than when you were at the Broncos and were able to find a running game regardless of the running back?
What I'm saying is that it gives the public a way to relate what they see here now to where his other teams were at and how what he's doing fits into the big picture of success.

Why do people think picking 11th instead of 4th will ruin chances of getting a qb? As far as i can tell, there is Andrew Luck which is , and then there are some other qbs. We aren't going to get the #1 pick, so what's the difference?

No way we pick 11th. We'll win 4 games in '11 (next and only remaining win coming on XMas Eve versus the Vikes). We'll probably end up picking like 6th or 7th.
