Honestly, it's preseason and the Bears are running stunts and a full arsenal of blitzes.
That's fine and their perogative, but at some point, Shanny and Haslett need to say Eff it, and try and break someones legs on the Bears.
I hate vanilla. especially when the other side is going full tilt.
I think the Bears are trying to give the fans their monies worth since this is their last home preseason game. They layed an egg (if, you wanna call it that in preseason) last week and wanna give the fans something to cheer about and give some worthwhile entertainment.
So, they are going balls out and "full tilt," as you stated.
Bit hard to judge. They've ran a lot of deep drops early and the OL has given him zero time. I wonder if in the reg season they challenge that fumble as the arm might have been going forward but I can't say I seen it enough to know for sure. He was a little inaccurate on a couple of short passes although Niles Paul should still have caught the ball on the 3rd down play he dropped but it was behind him. The throw to Moss was a nice completion and he's shown more of his legs today.
My biggest concern about young Bob right now is something I've heard from reports in practice that he doesn't sell fakes well and he also looks a bit slow in his deep drops which I suspect him thinking about it too much rather than it feeling natural and I guess that'll come with time.
