You'll find the chat room icon below the site banner above. A password is not required for access, but it's a Java-based app.
Please test it to ensure that it works on your browser. If it doesn't, download the most recent version of Java and try again. Rare or dated browsers might not be compatible.
Please let me know if reach a dead-end and I'll try to help you resolve the issue.

It works, but where can we find our team's chat room?

It works, but where can we find our team's chat room? The teams don't have chat; they can communicate by secure sub-boards in the War Room forum.

I'm not sure yet. I saw the "secure" reference, then tested out some sub-boards and noticed the are not secure. I'm just trying to figure out where our team can have meetings. I'm guessing you will password protect them...

If you can install a recent version of Java, you can get in. Also, make sure Java is enabled in your browser peers. Chat will not be used for team-specific discussions though.

My Chat Room app works fine. Thanks for the option. Don't worry BigCat, we can go about our business through our normal channels at the Insider board and in PMs. I have similar problems entering certain chat rooms when I am at work. (big brother doesnt allow just anyone to update Java) In recent drafts I have been working and still found ways to chime in. We will find a way. As for the Chat room, I have a couple of quick questions. It seems, especially last year, that a lot of the trades, picks, and current info found its way into the "live" chat room. Many posters were using the chat as a way to let mods know their pick and offer up trades to others in real time. For users with the inability to access the Chat, wouldn't this line of communication be lost and somewhat unfair to the group as a whole? Will we have clearly designated areas that everyone has access to, so that the Draft is wide open and advantageous to all? Not trying to rock the boat, just wondering.

MrsM and I have taken this under advisement. Right now the goal would be to do our best to ensure that at least one team rep can access chat. That's not an unreasonable goal, based on my experience with this software. Very few users can't.

Exactly...and you bring up an excellent point, BigCat.
The consensus (initially) amongst the Administrative Commishes was that we didn't think there was enough time for a Trial Run given there's only a little over 1 month before our Mock begins; however, the Chat & interaction with the other teams & their members (& their knowledge) is one of the things we enjoy most & part of what brings us back every year. Last year when our Chat Room temporarily went down, some of the Commishes thought the Chat should be eliminated altogether.
I'm not averse to trying a (voluntary) Trial Run (maybe the Fri or Sat before our Mock), but THIS year, i think it best the Chat Room be open but used for UNofficial discussions ONLY...
I will be posting the Official Rules within the next few days, but in the best interest of the IMD, in order for Trade Proposals to be approved, they MUST be posted in the Official Trades thread (and an agreement indicated by BOTH parties) along with the exact Pick number(s). This thread will also be sticky'd @ the top of this Forum for easier access.
IOW, if Team A wants to trade their 5th Round Pick for Team B's two 7th Rounders (for example), then they must specify "We want to trade our 5th Round, pick # 144, for Team B's #s 199th & 200th Picks in Round 7".
I am certainly open to suggestions, but this seems like a practical, fair, & efficient way to avoid any ambiguity & issues you mentioned. It would also eliminate problems for those that just follow the Main Thread/Big Board & either cannot or prefer not access the Chat.
Thoughts?

There's a ProBoards Ap but I'm not sure re: Chat access (?) You can follow just the thread & be able to keep up, but if you want, PM your Picks (in order of preference, for Rounds 1-2 tonight) & we'll make your Pick for you.
