This Mother is going to move much quicker than prior drafts. Here's what that means for your team.
1. The time limits are strict and short (5 minutes for rounds 1-2, 3 minutes for 3-7). If you don't get your pick in time, we move on to the next pick (read the rules). It's alot closer to the real draft where you get on the clock as soon as the pick in front of you is made. This means you can't sign on at the last minute as your slot may be moved up if teams don't use their entire time. The times posted are approximate and I suggest you sign in 30 minutes before the estimate.
2. Trades of picks up or down should be discussed in advance. There is a thread for this. You only have 5 minutes in the first two rounds and 3 minutes in the later rounds. If you're late, you fall behind the next team picking (think the NFl rules for Vikings in 2009). It's going to move like the ESPN fantasy draft. You're on the clock and if you delay, you lose your spot.
3. If you don't pick in time, the Commish will make the pick for you. (read the rules) This is not ideal, but we don't want this draft to drag on for more than 3 or 4 nights. It's a Wham Thank You Mam draft. Welcome to our new site.
4. If you think your team doesn't have it together to be there in the time slots, send a list of who you want at your pick. This list should go to MrsMD22 before the round starts. We'll pick the highest player on your board.
5. This is the biggest mock draft in the world. That is awesome. We'll rank the results once the 7 rounds are in. We'll also compare your mock with the final draft. We all love football, and the draft is the only thing for sure in this CBA mess. This is the only thing that makes your team different going into the 2011 season and we think it matters. We want you there every step of the way.
Go for it.
