The Texans and Bengals started us off with a dud. What a terrible game. Houston is going to get blown out of Foxboro next weekend. Dalton is bad; he makes one read then tucks and runs. Schaub ain't much better.
I think it's addition by subtraction for the Vikes without Ponder. Webb came in and lit us up. The Vikes should play football circa 1940; run, run, and run again. Forget that the forward pass is allowed.
You don't win in this League without an elite QB, and we have one.

I was surprised how bad Dalton was. He's been solid most of the season. Nothing great, but solid. Shaub was mediocre as per usual, but he didn't have to do much with Dalton so off and Foster so on. I agree with your take on Webb. Let's be serious. Ponder was and is just a guy. It's Peterson's team, so anyone who doesn't just give the ball away is going to keep MIN in the game.

Well, strictly speaking, yes. Their gameplan was solid. GB then reacted and stacked the box with 8, which forced Webb to throw. Well, turns out he can't throw. He's missed two wide open receivers that I've counter. The approach they started with--read option, misdirection, etc.--was a good one. Can't be a one trick pony, though. You have to be able to make a defense pay with your arm, and he can't.

Webb is putting in a Campbellesque performance tonight. Guy just can't do anything right. Like nothing. Why they aren't continuing with the read option is beyond me. The guy can't throw so they're dropping him in 7 step drops. Whhhhhaaaaa?

Really disappointed in Daulton. He may end up being one of those QBs you think is good but ends up being not ready for prime time. I hate watching Houston play that short passing game with a noodle armed QB. Sorry a team that considers 3rd and 12 to be insurmountable does not belong in the NFL playoffs.
Joe Webb should not have a job. His performance reminded me of Charlie Batch's first start.

Monkster, I actually heard some talking head sports reporters talking about this recently. They said all that bad blood came to a head a few years back when IND came into BAL and beat McNair & CO. on the road to the SB. Now, there's a sense at least, that a lot of that bad blood is gone, reason being that BAL has finally accepted that the Ravens are their team. I'm sure some of the old timers don't forget, but I don't think the rank and file fan has personal animosity toward the Colts.
In my experience, Ravens fans I know could care less about that episode.
