An Oklahoma woman says in a lawsuit that Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones paid her for at least four years to prevent her from reporting an alleged sexual assault. Jana Weckerly's attorney, Thomas Bowers, filed an updated lawsuit Monday that accuses Jones of forcibly touching Weckerly's genitals and kissing her on the lips without her consent more than 5 years ago, then bullying her into not reporting the alleged attack. The lawsuit seeks more than $1 million in damages.
Yea, the timing of this if nothing else makes me raise my eyebrows. Initial impression is same as rest of you, but as always need to wait and see what will develop and what the facts are.
I guess I see what will dominate sports talk today on ESPN...sigh.
Aquí tienes una cancioncilla que escribí Puede que quieras cantarla nota a nota No te preocupes, sé feliz Todos tenemos problemas en la vida Cuando te preocupas, los haces el doble No te preocupes, sé feliz...
well this is what happens when blackmailer can no longer extract bucks from the blackmailee
So they then expose their own crime?
Well that could be one way to look at it---which if stated in the plaintiff's pleadings could be very interesting in terms of possible criminal charges against the Plaintiff for blackmail and extortion ---but in 30 years of practicing law I never had one of those types of cases so I would defer to someone more knowledgeable---but if the underlying allegations of the Plaintiff are true Jerry may very well be going down regardless of whether the Plaintiff also ends up with criminal charges from some type of blackmail/extortion theory--- the thing I can not understand is that if the allegations are true or partially true it would seem Jerry would have negotiated a settlement with some type of confidentiality requirment (I have never done one of those either and wonder as to how practical it would be to enforce such a clause)--I assume the woman may be saying "Hey, I did not extort Jerry Jones, he infact intimidated me to take hush money and now I just can not live with myself"--now I have seen some Kooky clients before so who knows---but I bet with Jerry's drinking issues something may very well have happened--if it is true it would be very fun to see how Goodell would handle this one--an NFL owner guilty of sexual assault and cover-up of same---the uproar might actually give us cover with the name change issue (lol)
cooley47: Goff continues to stink. The D has done their job.

rskin72: The Lambs O just cannot get into sync. Limited rush attack, and Goff is not in any rhythm at all

rskin72: sooner or later the Lambs D will give...or they will make a big play. Either way the Lambs D right now has to win the game for the team

cooley47: No guarantee you ever get back to this game. Sorry but Goff can’t get it done. McVay should consider getting a veteran QB in offseason.

SkinsTim: A first round pick for a guy that was terrible last year and his team is ready to move on from? No chance. They'll be luck to get a 2nd or a 3rd. I'd give up a 2nd for him and call it a day.
