Hey, I would be ( seldom used term) overjoyed with Tomlin.

I love Tomlin, a William & Mary man. Maybe he can coax some ‘Stillers’ in their fine Front Office to join him if Dan hands him the reins.

I hate rooting to lose...even for a top draft pick. If finishing 2-14 means Allen is gone, then I don't want to win another game, not even to ruin the Cowboy's season, or the Eagles' season.

He is down to his 3rd string QB, and 3rd or 4th RB, yet still has his team in playoff contention. This could be one of Tomlin's best coaching performances. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't get an extension instead of a pink slip.

I know. Don’t disagree. Tomlin is terrific and it’s hard to envision the terrible towel wavers waving good bye to him. I love Tomlin, a William & Mary man. It's a small bone for Snyder to throw at the fans by firing Bruce Allen....I don't think the MD fanboy that is Dan really wants to be the most hated man in the MDNVA. If he has to give up his drinking buddy, his putt-putt buddy, so be it. I still think he pulls in a Louis Riddick...he doesn't have the stones to go and get the personnel guy from the Pats - or any other legit front office rising star....he will have to give up too much to do so. Dan isn't dumb....he is stubborn, and he is spiteful....but the hue and cry from the fanbase may finally win the day (as it should).

Tomlin contract is up?
Rumor is both sides are ready to move on. Don't trade picks now. That's stupid.

First of all, it's hilarious that the tweet says they're now "evaluating" Allen. Like 10 years wasn't enough evidence of his worthlessness! So if we do get rid of Allen, this is what I'd like to see happen: 1. Hire a strong, competent GM with an ironclad contract for complete autonomy. 2. Have that GM pick whoever he deems the best coach available (be it Tomlin or whoever) 3. Allow that new head coach to determine if Haskins is the QB of the future and draft accordingly. If Snyder does all those things this will be the best Christmas/New Year's in years!

The vast majority of us want Brucifer fired ... yesterday. But does anyone have any confidence that Little Danny would hire him with someone competent? Benching any player or firing any coach .... if and only if the replacement is better. Brucifer has shown a measure of incompetence that would have made Vinny the Lapdog proud, but it's hard to imagine Little Danny knowing a good replacement and then actually hiring him.

I would love to see Bruce gone but will it change anything? Will Snyder hire another yes man? I hope Snyder truly feels the franchise is at rock bottom. Maybe he will hire GM and give up control ( not holding my breath). It's hard for me to be optimistic but I guess baby steps. If he fires Allan it a small victory. If he re-assigns him then nothing has changed.

Dan wants to hire a name, SB winner HC and empower him to run the show - in ‘partnership’ with him.
The arrangement he had with Gibbs.
Dan has never hired the name GM to hire all football personnel / run all football operations.
I just cannot imagine he will do that.
But I would be willing to see a name, SB winning coach hired / empowered versus awful Allen as Architect in 2020. Seven days a week, and twice on Sunday!
Dan might have to extend someone Ownership shares - as Edward Bennett Williams did when bringing Lombardi out of retirement in ‘69 to run the Redskins.

I GUARANTEE Snyder will not get ANY quality head coach to come here without firing Allen. Shanahan got conned into thinking he had total control, but no new coach is going to make the same mistake. The entire NFL and college coaches are all well aware of what a backstabbing loser Allen is.

when the team bottomed out under Zorn, he jettisoned Cerrato and in order to get Shanahan to come he hired Bruce as a buffer.
the team has bottomed out again. the pattern is that he jettisons Allen and either brings in an name like Tomlin or Riddick to be the new point man.
the other pattern is;
established Name- Schottenheimer (to clean up after firing Norv) new Name- Spurrier established Name- Gibbs (to clean up after Spurrier) new Name- Zorn established name- Shanahan (to clean up after Zorn/Cerrato) new name- Gruden
established name- TBD (to clean up after Gruden/Allen)

Bruce should have been gone a long time ago. Not even close there. We will see if this season will be the straw that breaks the camel's back or not. Personally I dont think it depends on whether we get a few more wins or not. It may be what Snyder was told to expect from the team this season....like maybe an NFCE title, certainly playoffs, maybe a top 10 D....you know...a good team with very good culture. Reality has proven 180 degrees out. Then take that with TW fiasco....maybe this has finally tipped the scales against Dan's drinking buddy.

As long as the owner is making personnel decisions (and don't kid yourself - he is), bringing in someone new is only to take some of the heat off.

We’re at the bottom of the barrel and if we lose double digits tomorrow it’s only going to get much hotter.

I'll believe it when I see it regarding Allen.
I'll also believe it when I see that if Allen is gone that Snyder can make the right choice.
I'll also believe it when I see Snyder hand full control to a new guy and NOT interfere with day to day operations and decisions.
Right now this has me about as excited as the mathematical possibility that we can still win the division.
